A brief description of the programs sponsored by the institution to support underrepresented groups within the student body:

Our university officially organizes "Hokkaido University Genki Project", which is a competition of students' proposals. Some proposals are selected every year, university offers a grant up to 6250US$ for those selected proposals.
Office for a sustainable campus also supports a students body named "The Students Council for Sustainable Development in Hokkaido University (SCSD)", and also cooperate with SCSD to hold "Sustainable Campus Contest". This contest is held every year during Sustainability Weeks.
