Gold

A brief description of the institution’s bicycle program, including the year the award was achieved and/or renewed:

As of 2011, University of Vermont is recognized as a Bicycle Friendly University, by the League of American Bicyclists. We support cycling as an efficient, healthy, and environmentally responsible transportation option on campus.
Campus Bike Share: The Bicycle User's Group (UVMBikes) created the UVM Bike Share to eliminate the need for vehicles on campus. UVM invested in a fleet of Worksman's Cycles to be used for trips across campus. They are available daily from the Davis Center, Redstone and Trinity Campus. To register, visit the Davis first floor info desk.
Campus Bike Rentals: Need a bike? Don't have one? Our students maintain a fleet of used bicycles available for semester rentals. They are affordable and reliable for commuting across campus.
Bicycle Education Center: TPS and UVM Bikes operate a bicycle repair shop (The BEC) to help you learn how to keep your wheels rolling. Stop by with any of your bicycle needs. Students or staff will be there to assist.
UVM Bikes - The Bicycle User's Group: UVM students committed to bicycling and spreading the good word about bicycles. UVM Bikes Facebook
