Does the institution use Light Emitting Diode (LED) technology in at least one lighting application? LED applications in exit signs and remote controls do not count for this credit.:
Yes

A brief description of the technology used:

The University of Northern Iowa utilizes LED technology in a number of applications around campus. These applications are both indoor and outdoor and include:
-Sabin Hall task lighting
-Facilities Services building conference room and some office space
-Lights at bus stops located on campus
-Pathway lighting outside of the Industrial Technology Center
-Both the Piazza and Realto dining centers have replaced burned out fixtures with new LED fixtures. This is an ongoing process that should result in LED lighting in the entire dining center area over time.
