The purpose of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Asexual Resource Center (LGBTQIA+ Resource Center) is to provide an open, safe, inclusive space and community. The LGBTQIA+ Resource Center promotes education as well as a space for self-exploration about all sexes, genders, and sexualities and their intersections with other identities. As a resource, the Center has developed a thorough list of LGBTQIA Vocabulary/Glossary, Ally Tips, and Ally Training, as well as other resources for health and wellness, coming out, and a list of gender-inclusive restrooms on campus, among many other initiatives. The website also advertises various LGBTQIA clubs on campus and “The Out List”, which was created by undergraduate scholars at UC Davis as a way for scholars, staff, and faculty, who identify as LGBTQIA to connect with each other, and foster mentorship and support.
