After the UC Davis Director of Sustainability was invited to address the Chilean Red Campus Sustentable annual conference in September 2017, the UC Davis Office of Sustainability has maintained an on-going relationship with the Universidad de Talca’s Office of Sustainability. In May 2019, the Sustainability Manager of U Talca came to UC Davis for a two-week knowledge exchange.

A brief description of the peer review activities:

UC Davis has not yet served as a peer reviewer for another institution’s sustainability data, but we are in the process of building our institutional capacity to potentially provide this function on a selective basis.


A brief description of other inter-campus collaborative efforts around sustainability during the previous year :

UC Davis Office of Sustainability plays a leading role in the UC Carbon Offsets project, which seeks to develop University-initiated offset projects and to provide clear, evidence-based guidance on voluntary market offsets. More about this project can be found at: https://offsets.uc-ciee.org/home.

UC Davis hosted and played key facilitation roles in the University of California and California State University Local Food Summit in June 2019. The Summit focus: California universities continue to make great strides in prioritizing farm-sourced products. What opportunities exist for bringing more food from small/mid-scale farmers to campuses? Please see the uploaded agenda for more information.
