A brief description of the institution’s sustainability partnerships with the local community:
Our Council for Community Sustainability brings together community partners from the Mayors Offices, Chambers of Commerce, Kankakee Economic Alliance, County Planning Board, County Housing Authority, local farmers, and residents. Workforce Development Services works with area Workforce Investment Boards doing weatherization, our Small Business Development Services works with area Businessess and business organizations like SCORE, our Agriculture and Horticulture program works with the Extension Service and area FAA, 4-H, and farmer's groups to promote sustainable practices.
