A brief description of the institution’s methodology for evaluating employee satisfaction and engagement:

Dickinson College engaged the National Assessment of Collegiate Campus Climates (NACCC) to conduct a survey in 2022. All staff were sent an email invitation to participate in the survey through the NACCC portal. The survey content areas included workplace mattering, workplace equity, racial learning and literacy, appraisal of institutional commitment, encounters with racial stress, and the impact of external environments. Results were compiled and analyzed by NACCC and provided to Dickinson College via a detailed summary report.

A brief description of the mechanism(s) by which the institution addresses issues raised by the evaluation:

The NACCC results have been used to inform and support strategic initiatives including the work of several college committees with a focus on employee equity, inclusivity and belonging. Campus listening sessions were conducted in 2023 to gather additional information in several survey identified areas of interest, three affinity groups were introduced, and grants for inclusive pedagogy and staff programming were created to continue to support this important work. Survey results will continue to inform the college’s ongoing strategic, employee engagement, and satisfaction initiatives.
