The Diversity and Equity Committee addresses and discusses the campus climate for the entire campus. In the past the committee has produced and acted on campus climate reports. This committee is a presidential committee.

Our diversity office is called the Multicultural and International Life Office. It's mission is as follows:
Our mission is to foster a community and climate that supports the empowerment, identity development and learning of all community members. We strive to accomplish this by:
• Supporting students in their intellectual exploration and holistic development
• Promoting intercultural dialogue, respect and inclusion
• Celebrating the cultures represented in our community
• Fostering a safe and affirming campus climate for all students
• Cultivating student engagement and success through advocacy, services, programming and advising
• Supporting the university mission of providing diverse learning and living communities and developing active citizens of the world

As an integral member of the Multicultural and International Life team, the Assistant Director is responsible for designing programs and creating an environment of support and advocacy for multicultural/historically under-represented students at DePauw University. The Assistant Director will focus on: providing services, support and advocacy for students from historically under-represented communities including: racial and ethnic minorities, women, LGBTQs, and religious minorities; and promoting a more diverse and non-discriminatory campus community.
