Does the institution have a bicycle-sharing program or participate in a local bicycle-sharing program?:
Yes

A brief description of the program:

In 2007, our annual ArtFest was geared toward "Re*Cycling Art" and introduced the first round of community bikes to campus. These bikes were adopted by organizations and decorated to serve as moving art and a community resource. Since that time, the community bike project has become housed in Student Life. New bikes have been added to the program and resources have been organized to help maintain them. We are continuing to research best practices for a community bike program.

Data source(s) and notes about the submission:

We have been having several conversations surrounding bike options on campus including partaking in the Africa Bike Program. We would like to give a bike to each incoming student who does not bring a car to campus and for every bike given to a student, one is donated to Africa. There has been a proposal created but it is not currently being processed. We are exploring options for funding.
