DePauw University regularly leads a Winter Term In Service (WTIS) January trip to Costa Rica as an immersive sustainability/conservation experience. A group of between 18-20 students led by 2 faculty or staff work with local communities on sustainable agriculture projects and sea turtle habitat restoration or patrolling. This trip focuses on environmental, economic, and social aspects of sustainability.
