A brief description of the composting or mulching program:
DePauw composts yard waste in addition to pre- and post-consumer food waste. Food waste is composted in an Earth Tub and then combined with the rest of the yard waste composting.

The compost is used in some of the landscaping around campus. It is also donated to the Greencastle Community Garden.
