Criteria
An institution earns 1 bonus point when it:
- Measures and evaluates the avoided emissions and/or community health impacts associated with prospective renewable energy projects, AND
- Uses that information to prioritize those projects that are particularly effective at reducing emissions or negative health impacts (e.g., projects in locations with high grid emissions intensity relative to other options).
Measurement
Report on the current policies and activities from within the previous three years.
This credit is inclusive of both purchased renewable energy products (e.g., PPAs) and the design and construction of an institution’s own renewable energy projects.
