Criteria
An institution earns 1 bonus point when it is a member of the Fair Labor Association (FLA), the Worker Rights Consortium (WRC), or – for institutions that are ineligible for FLA or WRC membership – an equivalent independent trademark licensing monitoring and verification organization approved by AASHE.
Measurement
Report on the current status of the institution’s membership. The companies, suppliers, and licensees that an institution works with may also participate in monitoring and verification organizations, thereby helping to ensure fair labor practices are applied throughout the supply chain, however these activities are not sufficient to earn points in this credit.
