The SBO and Maintenance program is integreated throughout UT Operational Units. For example, Facilities Maintenance has a Energy and Water Conservation Group, Recycling and Waste Management has a Zero Waste Coordinator, and PMCS has developed sustainable practices for their construction projects on campus.

Compliance is ensured through a combination of state and federal law, best practices review, employee training, and collaboration between operational departments.
