A group of faculty and staff from the Office of Sustainability as well as the Office of Institutional Research created questions to assess the knowledge, behavior, awareness of students faculty and staff.

Through an anonymous survey sent out by the Office of Institutional Research through Lehigh E-Mail.


A brief summary of results from the cultural assessment, including a description of any measurable changes over time:

The survey participants were more well versed on the environmental aspects of sustainability, but less so on the social and economic aspects. More than 70% of students chose "Environmental/Natural Resources", "Recycling", and "Conservation" as the words that come to mind when they think of sustainability. Only 14% chose "Social Justice" and "Equity" as words they think of. The full set of responses can be view in the same file as the questions uploaded above.
