A brief description of the sustainability trainings and professional development opportunities available to staff :

An 'Energy Conservation' workshop was offered to all employees and put on with the help of BC Hydro Community teams. Topics discussed included basic energy conservation, available rebates for energy upgrades in your home and everyday behavioural changes that can limit emissions.

The Office of Environmental Sustainability strives to continuously advance sustainable initiatives and awareness at Camosun College. We have identified staff professional development as an area that could be improved upon. As per our goals in the Sustainability Plan 2014-2017 we will be working towards increasing sustainable themed professional development opportunities.
