The Office of Environmental Sustainability(OES) had an interactive information booth at the Camosun Welcome Back Cam-Fest at both campuses in September. This past year OES had a large sustainability spin wheel which had sections for various areas of sustainability (transportation, energy, waste, biodiversity and other), students were encouraged to spin the wheel and they were asked a questions about that portion of sustainability at the college. For participating in the activity students were given a reusable mug to use on campus and a reminder that they received 10 cents off hot drinks when they used it at the food services around campus. Also presented was an information poster about the Camosun Express intercampus shuttle along with schedules and ridership information. We had information presented about our modal split numbers and engaged students in thinking about how they got to campus. Further information presented was our Sustainability Plan and Sustainability Annual Report. We had cycling and hiking maps available as well as our internal transportation rack cards.
