The Student Government Association's Campus Improvements and Sustainability Committee conducted the survey October 2023. They wanted to send a survey concerning campus improvements and sustainability in order to better service the needs of the students enrolled at WKU. They sent it out through a “student-all” email.

What changes would you like to see made in regard to campus improvements and/or sustainability at WKU?
How can WKU improve communication and awareness of sustainability efforts and opportunities among the student body?
How do you feel about WKU’s sustainability habits?


A brief description of how representative samples were reached (if applicable) and how the cultural assessment is administered:

An email was sent to the all WKU students (student-all) requesting participation using Qualtrics. The email was sent both from the Student Government Association's Campus Improvements and Sustainability Committee.


A brief summary of results from the cultural assessment:

It was found that a lot of students had concerns about water bottle filling stations, mold on campus, and recycling procedures. Specifically, promoting recycling more and having the university be more predisposed to recycling (e.g., fewer plastic containers)
