A brief description of the employee educators program (1st program):

At the University of St. Thomas, SEED is a peer-to-peer-focused education program that trains our St. Thomas employees to become “experts” in creating conversational communities to drive change toward greater equity and diversity, and these SEED leader experts then train their peers on these topics through a 25-hour SEED seminar. To lead a SEED seminar, a faculty or staff member participates in New Leaders Training through the national SEED organization, a national program that trains hundreds of educators, parents and community leaders (https://www.nationalseedproject.org/). SEED leaders also put in about 10-20 additional hours of prep time for each year's seminar. SEED is sponsored by the Office for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. We have had 285+ faculty and staff participate in a SEED seminar over the last five+ years.
