- 3G University – Contracted security services for parking garages and crossings. There are 11 employees, of which 10 are unionized; none of the employees earn a wage at or above the AASHE STARS established living wage rate.

- ALCO Parking Corporation - Manages and staffs 1 parking garage and 2 parking lots on campus during normal operations. During sporting events and concerts, ALCO manages 4 parking garages and 2 parking lots; additional attendants are utilized during events. ALCO Parking is a non-union operation, with only 1 out of 16 employees earn a wage at or above the AASHE STARS established living wage rate.

- Allied Universal Security – Contracted security guard services for University buildings, including residence halls. Allied has 182.5 FTE affiliated with Pitt, of which 173 are unionized; only the highest paid employee earns a wage at or above the AASHE STARS established living wage rate.

- Jani-King - Contracted custodial services for RIDC Computer Center includes 1 non-union staff who is does not earn more than the AASHE STARS established living wage rate.

- Pitt Eats by Compass Group - Pitt Eats by Compass Group employees are the largest contracted vendor on-campus; Compass runs all Pitt Dining options, including on-campus dining, retail, and catering operations. The majority of Compass employees are represented by the Service Employees International Union (SEIU); Pitt’s Office of Business, Hospitality, and Auxiliary Services estimates 75% of the 550 Pitt Dining employees are unionized.

- Pittsburgh Transportation Group - Operates Pitt’s campus shuttles, SafeRider, and local charter transportation. Pittsburgh Transportation Group operates a fleet of 20 Pitt shuttles and 3 vans, 7 days a week, up to 20 hours per day. All 27 PTG drivers are union members, with 3 management and support staff are non-union. Only 2 of the 30 employees earn a wage at or above the AASHE STARS established living wage rate.

- St. Moritz Building Services - Contracted custodial services that includes 3 non-union staff and none of the employees earn a wage at or above the AASHE STARS established living wage rate.
