A brief description of the method(s) used to gather data about student commuting:
UMB hired TransAction Associates to determine mobility data for the UMB campus, which was required by MassEVIP as part of the 2021. Rideshare Regulation Update report. The survey was then sent out by UMB to the campus, and participants were selected randomly. There was a total of 965 responses to the survey, which was a 100% response rate. 73.2% of those responses were people using sustainable commuting options as their primary mode of transportation to campus. 356 of those responses were from employees. Proportionally, approximately 47% of students are using sustainable modes of transportation to campus.
