A brief description of how sustainability is included prominently in new student orientation :

- The Office of Sustainability created a "Laker Guide to Living Green" that is distributed to all first-year students as well as any first-year faculty. This guide includes sustainable practices already integrated within the campus culture, tips to help you practice sustainability within your office or dorm room, and a list of the local restaurants and shops in town.

- Incoming students were given a free Tap In bottle as part of our goal to reduce plastic waste as well as shown where our reusable bottle fill stations are located throughout campus.

- During the first week of classes in the Fall, SUNY Oswego puts on a Student Involvement Fair where the Office of Sustainability has a featured table where we are able to interact with new and returning students and get them interested in sustainability and our initiatives.
