BikeShare

A brief description of the institution’s featured program, initiative, or accomplishment:

SUNY Oswego's BikeShare program offers semester-long loans to any campus member wishing to bike to classes or town instead of using any fueled transportation. Since the start of this initiative in 2015, the popularity of the program among students has grown tremendously. We currently have a fleet of 75 bikes and are looking to purchase an additional 25 bikes to meet the demand of the campus community.

A brief description of the second program/initiative/accomplishment:

Partnering with to company Cupanion, SUNY Oswego's ongoing Tap In programs focuses on the college’s commitment to reduce waste and decrease its carbon footprint by distributing reusable water bottles that include a barcode. This barcode connects the Cupanion app, allowing the user to accumulate points and compete in challenges run on campus or internationally.

Permaculture Living Laboratory

A brief description of the third program/initiative/accomplishment:

The Permaculture Living Laboratory (PLL) at SUNY Oswego, is an educational and beneficial ecosystem used to grow food and other forms of medicinal and aesthetic vegetation to encourage campus members to get involved with gardening and wellness benefits from nature.
