SUNY Oswego has operated a BikeShare program since the Fall of 2014. Any member of the campus community has the ability to loan a bicycle on a semester-long basis, providing free and accessible transportation on campus and in the surrounding City of Oswego.

Zipcars reduce demand for parking and associated congestion while offering students a convenient, economical and environmentally friendly alternative to owning a car.

Located in our parking lots adjacent to our Richard S. Shineman Center there are preferential parking spaces for electric and low emission vehicles.

In the same parking lot as the preferential parking spaces, SUNY Oswego has installed three charging stations with the ability to charge up to six electric vehicles.

In 2017, as an extension of SUNY Oswego's BikeShare program, an intern at our Office of Sustainability created and launched our BusShare app. While running the BikeShare program, they wanted to solve the problem of access to transportation during the winter. By downloading and using this app you can navigate bus routes to get you from point A to point B faster and more efficiently through public transit. As the City of Oswego has installed and created more bus stops and routes, the BusShare program has become the primary mode of transportation for many in the community.
