A brief description of how sustainability is included prominently in new student orientation :
A "Sustainability at Cal State LA" slide is included in the Pre-Orientation program, which all new freshmen and transfer students are asked to complete. A one page handout with an overview of "Sustainability at Cal State LA" is also available for students to download. Students are also offered refillable water bottles through participation incentives, with plans to expand the program so every student is offered a branded refillable water bottle.
