ASI Environmental Policy Committee

A brief description of the student educators program (1st program):

Associated Students, Inc. has a goal to increase awareness about environmental issues on campus and in the community. In an effort to create dialogue around sustainability, the Environmental Policy Committee recruits stuents to serve on the committee each year, trains them to serve as a peer outreach team to the student population, and creates events to educate and promote a more sustainable lifestyle.

Projects: Smoking Policy Resolution, Community Garden in Housing, Research on how to reduce plastic consumption on campus, tabling to promote the committee and events, Eco-Opinion Board, Earth Week programming, succulent plant potting, Arbor Day, food justice speakers, and more!
