A brief description of the institution’s methodology for evaluating employee satisfaction and engagement:

Barnard College partnered with the National Assessment of Collegiate Campus Climate (NACCC) led by USC's Race & Equity Center. The NACCC offers web-based survey that includes six content areas essential to understanding racial climate on campus and collects participants’ demographic information in order to conduct meaningful data disaggregation. The surveys have been designed specifically for and tested by higher education students, faculty, and staff at community colleges and four-year postsecondary institutions across the country. The staff survey was administered in June 2022 to all non-academic staff and includes questions in six categories including workplace mattering, encounters with racial stress, and workplace equity. All academic and non academic staff were sent an invitation to the survey and encouraged to participate.
We are awaiting the analysis of the results to be shared this spring.

A brief description of the mechanism(s) by which the institution addresses issues raised by the evaluation:

The staff survey executive summary is currently being produced by the Office of Institutional Research and Assessment and will be posted for the community by the end of Spring 2023.
