A brief description of any internal sustainability professional development and training opportunities that the institution makes available to non-academic staff:
The Power, Privilege and Positionality (PPP) program is provided three times per year by the Office of Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion and is evidence of our commitment to understanding the IHP values and the language and words that we can use to communicate effectively around racism and oppression, which are key issues that have created disparities in health care. We require all employees to attend and participate in one PPP event each year, which is included as part of their annual evaluation. The program consists of asynchronous modules (readings and videos to be completed) and concludes with a live panel discussion to discuss concepts learned.

The MGH Institute of Health Professions also co-hosts educational seminars and monthly webinars about topics related to the intersection of climate change and health with Massachusetts General Hospital's Center for the Environment and Health. Some topics of the webinars include waste reduction, agriculture, and carbon footprint in healthcare. These are free and open to all individuals interested.
