The New School Institutional Research Department provided course data from the academic year 2020/2021. The data were analyzed in the following sequence: 1) internships, practicums, independent study, clinical, physical education, technique-based, and performance arts courses were excluded; 2) cross-listed courses and occasional duplicates were deleted; 3) using AASHE STARS guidelines, sustainability-focused and sustainability-inclusive courses were identified department by department. Courses listed in multiple departments (cross-listed courses) are counted as one course per The New School methodology. Courses listed for both undergraduate and graduate students are counted as two courses to streamline the counting process and reflect the situation accurately. Courses offered at Parsons Paris campus were excluded because the Paris campus is excluded from the institutional boundary.
