The Public Service Award TAFE Qld - the lowest award rate for any employer is the Operational Stream Level 2, Tier 1 @ $2056pf AUD which equates to approximately $4200pm AUD.

In Australia (2021), the minimum wage is currently $3,090.40 per month. A living wage is calculated as 60% of the Median Full-Time Adult Wage in Australia. The median is a measure of the midpoint. In Australia, a Living Wage is $27 per hour. The living wage is the minimum income standard that, if met, draws a very fine line between the financial independence of the working poor and the need to seek out public assistance or suffer consistent and severe housing and food insecurity.
