Does the institution have ongoing library support for sustainability research and learning?:
Yes

A brief description of the institution’s library support for sustainability research:

The library has two research guides related to sustainability – ENV 101 Environmental Studies and an Earth Day guide that is available in late spring after its annual update. A desire to improve the library’s sustainable practices over ten years ago was a main driver in our adoption of Springshare’s LibGuides service for offering these guides.

To promote sustainability literacy, library staff create displays of library materials and relevant online resources for Earth Day, in addition to the guide mentioned above. During the Earth Day Fair/Teach-In, the library sets up a table featuring library resources and reliable information on a sustainability topic or have library staff involved in other tables.

The library offers databases with a more specific focus on sustainability:
Access Science
Civil Engineering Database (CEDB)
Gale Opposing Viewpoints in Context
Gale Virtual Reference Center
GreenFILE
Science Reference Center
ScienceDirect
Scopus (our most extensive database for scientific and engineering articles)
Statista
UN iLibrary
World Development Indicators Online
