Data source(s) and notes about the submission:

Lafayette Votes is a non-partisan, campus-wide initiative to raise voter education and engagement. Launched in August 2020, the working group now comprises 30 students, faculty, and staff from all areas of campus. We plan, coordinate, and execute opportunities for all students to learn about and participate in the democratic process. Our mission is two-fold: the first is to increase voter turnout in our student population. The second is to arm our students with the resources and knowledge they need to make decisions at the polls that align with their values, interests, and needs. As such, all of our programming is non-partisan. We offer voter registration drives, information sessions about the fundamentals of voting, state-of-the-race panels that dovetail with the election issues, debate watch parties, guided discussions that add clarity to issues in the news, and post-election results panels. All of these efforts are powered by students, faculty, staff, alumni, and representatives of community organizations who serve as panelists, moderators, and discussion guides.
