Does the institution offer at least one immersive, sustainability-focused educational study program that is one week or more in length?:
Yes

A brief description of the sustainability-focused immersive program(s) offered by the institution:

PRECI: Student Program for International Cooperation:
This program allows ÉTS students to live an international cooperation experience that consists in designing and carrying out, in a developing country, an engineering project lasting four months. All this by participating in the development of communities that need basic infrastructure such as a school, a medical centre, a training centre or any other project aimed at improving living conditions.
Objectives:
Build a sustainable, solid and original infrastructure;
Apply project management, construction, mechanical and electrical skills learned to design the project;
Involve the local community as much as possible in the project in order to create a sense of belonging.
Draw inspiration from local know-how in construction techniques and encourage the purchase of local materials;
Getting a better understanding of the world and international development issues;
Promote student engagement about international cooperation.

LÉTS GO Technology Missions:
The purpose of the LÉTS GO Technological Missions is to allow a group of students to broaden their technological horizons for a period of two weeks, while developing skills by working within a multidisciplinary team. It also allows for the creation and renewal of academic and professional relationships in all areas of engineering and to focus the readings, discussions and research done by the students on specific themes that are important to them.

The participants prepare intensively during weekly meetings and are separated in different committees: Communications and Events / Partnerships and Logistics.
In 2019, for the project that took place in Germany, for example, one of the objectives was to list the solutions put in place to face the different challenges of the 21st century: environment, advent of technology, mobility, sustainable development, etc.
For the Mission Technologique 2022, the project that will take place in France (2020s project delayed because of the pandemic) will support the following themes: industry 4.0 and sustainable development.

Mobility between the ÉTS of Montreal (Canada) and the ENGEES supported by Erasmus+:
A mobility agreement has been signed with the National School of Water and Environmental Engineering (ENGEES) of France. The project, supported by this agreement, encourages mobility between students and staff of ÉTS and ENGEES in order to increase the cooperation between the two schools.

Several ÉTS programs are open to ENGEES students and vice versa. For example, undergraduate and graduate programs at the École de Technologie Supérieure (ÉTS) in environmental engineering, construction engineering, urban infrastructure management and renewable energy and energy efficiency are available to students at the École Nationale du Génie de l'Eau et de l'Environnement (ENGEES).

"The ENGEES-ETS partnership has so far had 17 successful student academic mobility, including 3 double degrees at ÉTS. The reciprocal double degree, from ENGEES for ÉTS students, is under discussion." - ENGEES, 2020
