Beginning every year in late August, teams of UTD employees and their families compete against other organizations in sports as varied as bike racing, golf, horseshoes, and swimming. Data source(s) and notes about the submission:

The data above is collected though EngageUTD, our campus version of the GivePulse volunteer management software. The reason for the decrease of students who are engaged in service is due to two factors.

Through EngageUTD students who participate in multiple events are not being duplicated in the reporting of number of students engaged. This explains why even though the number of students engaged in service appears to have gone significantly down from FY19, the total hours of service actually increased in FY22. Additionally, a large portion of FY22 due to regular spikes of COVID-19 leading to cancellation of regular volunteer programming.

Based on the data recorded in EngageUTD and the addition of figures from other programs, this is currently the most accurate representation of service in FY22. These figures will continue to rise though as students log hours into the system retroactively.

Staff engagement will be more widely reported though EngageUTD for FY23 leading to a more accurate count next year.
