Criteria
An institution earns 1 bonus point when it:

Has completed an Atlas Zero Waste Stage 1 Assessment from the Post-Landfill Action Network (PLAN) and published its scorecard
AND/OR

Is a Green certified Campus Race to Zero Waste Certified Plastics Reduction Partner (US NWF), a Campus Race to Zero Waste competition winner (US NWF), or – where these programs are not available – an AASHE-approved equivalent.
Partial points are available. An institution earns 0.5 bonus points when it is otherwise formally recognized for leadership in materials management or waste recovery by a national or international assessment or awards program (e.g., a Silver or Bronze certified Campus Race to Zero Waste Certified Plastics Reduction Partner).
