Yes

A brief description of the assessment process and the framework, scorecard(s) and/or tool(s) used:

In spring 2014, we conducted a campus climate survey, in order to assess student experience of Diversity and Inclusion at SOU. We used a tool from EBI Map-Works, which is now known as Skyfactor. It looked at student experience in classrooms, co-curriculars, experiences with their peers, etc. The assessment focused on the perceptions of students and data was disaggregated by race, ethnicity, gender, and sexual orientation.

The Office of Diversity and Inclusion also works with Institutional Research and Human Resources to monitor student and employee outcomes related to diversity, equity and success.

Does the assessment process address campus climate by engaging stakeholders to assess the attitudes, perceptions and behaviors of faculty, staff, administrators and students, including the experiences of underrepresented groups?:
Yes

Does the assessment process address student outcomes related to diversity, equity and success (e.g. graduation/success and retention rates for underrepresented groups)?:

Does the assessment process address employee outcomes related to diversity and equity (e.g. pay and retention rates for underrepresented groups)?:
Yes

New data points about students are shared with the Board of Trustees, Cabinet, and University Planning Board and the Diversity and Inclusion Oversight Committee.
