A brief description of the activities and substantive accomplishments of the institution-wide coordinating body or officer during the previous three years:

Over the past three years, under the oversight of our Lecturer and part time Sustainability Coordinator the Paul Smith's College has completed a variety of projects related to energy conservation/green house gas emissions reductions measures, sustainability programming, Green House Gas Emissions tracking and reporting. Also the implementation of waste conservation initiatives (recycling and composting), establishment of sustainability website and social media sites, implementation and management of Sustainability Grant Program and oversight of implementation of funded projects.
Other achievements include coordinating institutional sponsoring of regional sustainability conferences and events, and partnership on coordination of sustainability speaker series with area colleges and universities. Oversight and management of community garden operations and completed farm to table dining hall local food purchasing inventory.
Our Sustainability Coordinator also provided oversight and mentorship to anywhere from 3-5 student employees. Employees worked on the various projects listed above and often attended and presented at the regional Adirondack Youth Climate Summit at The Wild Center.
