In March 2015, CSUMB conducted a Campus Climate Survey for student, faculty and staff. The result of this survey is to inform a Diversity Plan that will help to guide CSUMB’s work in the areas of diversity and inclusion in the coming years.

A brief description of the student diversity and educational equity assessment(s):

The Retention, Progression & Graduation (RPG) team is charged with monitoring retention and graduation rates data for both first time freshmen and transfers closely and determining possible causative factors which might reasonably and significantly impact these rates. The Team is also charged with proposing strategies for increasing retention and graduation rates and making recommendations to the Vice Presidents for approval and implementation. To carry out this charge, the Team works with a broad variety of personnel from across campus including deans, department chairs, Student Affairs professionals and other staff.

The University Personnel Office does an annual affirmative action plan that analyzes employee diversity as well as equity in hiring.
