A brief description of the institution’s main campus and other aspects of the institutional boundary used to complete this report:
Université de Sherbrooke’s main campus, Health Campus and Longueuil Campus are part of the institutional boundary, which defines the campus for purposes of this report.
The main campus, located in the City of Sherbrooke, includes most faculties and centers, the institution's management and support services. Also, part of the main campus is the University’s Innovation Park (Parc Innovation-ACELP de l'Université de Sherbrooke) which encourages the scientific initiative of R&D from regional, national and international origin by supporting the interaction and synergy of specialists in research and advanced industrial development.
The Health Campus, also located in Sherbrooke, houses the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences and several partners in the field of biomedical research and clinical intervention.
Located on the South Shore of Montréal, the Longueuil Campus offers all the material and logistical support needed for the hundreds or so programs available in a wide variety of fields, within a modern and innovative study environment.
To the main campus boundary also included are the following two natural areas; Mont-Bellevue Park and Johnville Bog and Forest Park:
Mont-Bellevue Park
Adjoining the main Campus, Mont-Bellevue Park, which includes Mount Bellevue and Mount John-S. Bourque, is Sherbrooke's largest park. Its 30 kilometers of trails are very popular with the university community, whether for hiking, running, mountain biking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing or just a walk. The park also includes protected areas to ensure the conservation of its multiple ecosystems and its remarkable biodiversity. To that end, the Université de Sherbrooke, main owner, and the City of Sherbrooke have put forward an alliance to create a nature reserve at Mont-Bellevue Park while consolidating the various uses in a harmonious way.
Johnville Bog and Forest Park
Since 2011, the Johnville Bog and Forest Park has been permanently protected to ensure the sustainability of its natural environments. Jointly owned by Université de Sherbrooke and Bishop's University since December 2010, they have agreed, along with their partner, Nature Eastern Townships (NET), that the lands be the object of a real and permanent easement of conservation. The easement prohibits activities that may have a negative impact on wetlands and forests, such as drainage, road construction or public motorized access. All recreational and educational activities intended for the general public and groups are maintained and even developed to meet the expectations of all for developed and preserved natural environments.

The rationale for excluding any features that are present from the institutional boundary:
While the Health Campus is physically located by the university hospital, that a partnership exists and that both missions converge, the Université de Sherbrooke does not own the hospital. Hence, the hospital (Centre hospitalier universitaire de Sherbrooke (CHUS)) is excluded from the institutional boundary.
