A brief description of the institution’s wellness and/or employee assistance program(s):
The Employee Well Being Office manages Workplace Safety and Insurance Board Claims, Short Term Absences and Long Term Disability Claims. The office also offers an employee assistance program (EAP) that provides professional assistance for a wide range of issues including: family matters, bereavement, eldercare concerns, crisis counselling/trauma, couple and marital relationships.
Counselling & Disability Services (CDS) at York provides both psychological and academic support services to primarily students, but faculty and staff will receive support when necessary.
