A brief description of the method(s) used to gather data about employee commuting:
Smart Commute – North Toronto, Vaughan (NTV) is a non-profit organization working with the York University Community to encourage alternatives to driving alone to York. Throughout March 2012, Smart Commute NTV, in partnership with York's Transportation Services, conducted a detailed commuting survey with the York University community. The objective of the survey was to better understand current commuting patterns and challenges, and to obtain input to help improve commuting options for the York University community.
