Taskforce on Sustainability Research: The York University task Force on Sustainability Research was announced on 2 April 2014 as an initiative sponsored by the Office of the Vice-President Research and Innovation (VPRI). The Task Force was created to evaluate current and emergent research strengths in the area of sustainability and to recommend structures to support, integrate, cultivate and publicize York’s sustainability research. The Task Force includes members from the Faculties of Liberal Arts and Professional Studies, Science, Business, Fine Arts, Health, Education, Law, Engineering and Glendon College.

York University has a number Subject specific Librarians who work with students in finding, organizing and writing performing research. A subject Librarian can be found for many subjects related to sustainability such as: environmental studies, Urban Studies, Planning, Human Rights & Equity, Geography, Natural sciences and many more. To support student research in general, the library has in person research help that isn’t subject specific. Reference services are available in person at all of the libraries during reference hours. Help is available to York students, staff and faculty with finding books, articles and other resources needed for their research.
