Einstein College of Medicine is actively involved in promoting efforts to build and make operational a rail line and railroad station at Morris Park. To this end, the Office of Communications and Public Affairs is advocating with all relevant political and transportation groups, including local representatives (City Councilman Jimmy Vacca, Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz, Jr.), state representatives (Senator Jeff Klein, Assemblyman Mike Benedetto), federal representatives (Representative Joseph Crowley, Senators Schumer and Gillibrand), as well as the Metropolitan Transit Authority.
