A brief description of the employee wellness program, policy, or practice:
HealthYU is Yeshiva University's wellness initiative. HealthYU aims to provide faculty, staff and their families with the best and most convenient ways to incorporate healthy choices into their lives. We provide programs such as "Know Your Numbers:, "Annual Flu Vaccinations, "Health Risk Assessments", "Smoking Cessation" and others to provide awareness, education and support for healthier lifestyles. We partner with Empire Blue Cross/Blue Shield on a number of comprehensive programs such as NurseLine, ConditionCare and Future Moms. We also offer and Employee Assistance Program (EAP) through ComPsych. Their services include telephonic counseling and referrals for employees and their family members that addresses an array of life challenges.
