A brief description of the sustainable food and beverage purchasing program:
Yeshiva University purchases a number of sustainable foods and beverages. These include: fair trade coffee, local baked goods and dairy, locally made salads, as well as locally produced beverages. While much of the fresh foods purchased are also locally grown especially when fruits and vegetables are in season, the university is working to better account for local produce expenditures.
