A brief description of the bicycle sharing program:
No. Yale does not currently have an official bicycle-sharing program and no local bicycle-sharing program exists. Yale is working with local non-profits and city officials to develop a local bikeshare program that could support the university and broader community.

Yale has partnered with Zipcar since 2007. There are over 30 shared-use vehicles in nine locations across campus. There are several additional Zipcar locations within easy walking distance of campus.

Preferred parking is available for electric vehicles.

In 2021, Yale installed dual-hose units, providing charging for 40 vehicles.

The Yale New Haven Homebuyer Program provides down payment and mortgage payment assistance for employees who purchase homes in selected New Haven neighborhoods, all within walking, biking, and/or transit distance to campus.

Yes

Yale partners with CTrides to provide employees with incentives to seek alternatives to driving alone. This program offers free commuter counseling, coordinates telework assistance, emergency ride home programs for transit and rideshare users, cash/incentive rewards to members who track sustainable transit, and outreach campaigns throughout the year. Due to Yale's commitment and dedication to encourage sustainable commuting, the University was designated a CTrides Transportation Leader in 2021. https://ctrides.com/
