The Sustainability Advisory Council is a group of institutional leaders and alumni tasked with offering guidance and inspiration on Yale’s Sustainability Plan. This group meets annually and receive quarterly updates from the Office of Sustainability. In addition, the Implementation Steering Committee is a rotating selection of faculty and staff that supports the execution of the Yale Sustainability Plan—particularly its integration into the scholarship at Yale. This group meets three to five times per year and receives updates between meetings.

Established in 2005, the Office of Sustainability’s mission is to advance sustainability within the Yale community by acting as a catalyst for information exchange and facilitating capacity building, innovation, streamlined operations, and preparation of tomorrow’s sustainability leaders.

Each of the employees of the Yale Office of Sustainability is responsible for different aspects of campus sustainability coordination. The employees work to support the university's Sustainability Strategic Plan.
