A brief description of the metering system:
Yale has a co-gen central power plant that is powered by natural gas. Electricity,steam, and chilled water is distributed to Yale buildings. Each building has a meter that records the electricity, steam and chilled water consumption. This information is available to each building at http://www.facilities.yale.edu/public/Energy.html
