2.1 Student sustainability organization

Xavier Student Sustainability (XSS) - is a student program that was founded in the Dorothy Day Center for Faith and Justice, but has transformed into a student club. We serve to promote sustainability and uphold sustainable initiatives within the Xavier community and greater Cincinnati area, foster an environment where students can explore and learn about sustainable topics and practices, and engage in discussion with other students interested in sustainability. Membership is open to all Xavier students.

Net Impact Xavier - A member chapter of the global Net Impact organization that engages emerging leaders in the responsible business movement. Xavier's chapeter focuses on creating professional opprotunites for students interested in sustainability and business.

4 Paws for Ability at XU - The mission of 4 Paws for Ability at XU is to train and socialize service dogs, plan and engage in opportunities to raise funds, educate the public about service animals and the services they provide, assist with animal rescue facilities when possible and allow students to gain lifelong friends who share the same passion for helping others. Through events, we hope to spark your animal-loving side and encourage the student community to foster a service dog.
A Xavier Christmas - To provide a meaningful Christmas experience for underprivileged elementary children in schools in the surrounding area.To stimulate a joint volunteer effort of Xavier University students and Xavier University offices/departments.To provide an annual tradition with A Xavier Christmas for the Xavier and Cincinnati communities.
Alternative Breaks - Xavier University's Alternative Breaks empowers and challenges all involved to understand his or her relationship with the global community through direct service, education, and reflection, while encouraging personal growth, social awareness, and active citizenship.
Brave: Power-Based Violence Prevention - BRAVE Peer Educators are XU student leaders who are trained to facilitate power and gender-based violence prevention workshops to their peers. By ensuring the dignity and worth of all members of our campus community, BRAVE empowers students to cultivate a more just world, one that values respect, integrity, and positive action. It is our mission to spread the message that no one has to do everything, but everyone has to do something.
Exceptional Studentt Assembly - Exceptional Student Assembly's purpose is to serve as mentors of student interns enrolled in Project SEARCH on Xavier's campus in an effort to build social skills and increase campus involvement among individuals in the program. In addition, Exceptional Student Assembly assists Xavier students in developing skills to interact with individuals with disabilities.
Muskies for Life - seeks to raise awareness of a consistent ethics of life on campus and throughout the community while promoting the basic dignity of the human being at every stage of life.
Raising Joy - Raising Joy is an adoption and foster care club that is committed to raising awareness about adoption and foster care, building relationships within this community, and providing a system of support within the realm of adoption and foster care. We do this by encouraging an open-minded and welcoming community established by love, relationships, and hope.
RefugeXavier - a mentor-based program for the refugee/immigrant population at Withrow High School. Xavier mentors exercise tutoring, socializing, and team-building to evoke a healthy relationship to contribute to the mentees' academic, emotional and social development. RefugeXavier provides resources through workshops and campus events to initiate the conversation for higher education after high school. This program allows Xavier University students to become leaders in their community outside of the university. RefugeXavier hopes to transmit the Jesuit qualities of leadership and service to the high school students of Withrow.
Students Demand Action Xavier University - Students Demand Action Xavier University strives to work against gun violence for a safer, well-educated community. This supports the Jesuit value of service rooted in justice and love, as it provides an opportunity to promote laws to keep students who are just like us safe from gun violence.

The Laudato Si' Action Platform organized an event to have Dr. Nancy Tuchman of Loyola University Chicago to do a lecture for campus in the spring of 2023.
