Our Sustainability Plan selected AY2014 as the baseline for reporting purposes for essentially all categories, and This year was selected because it was the year that a new EHS Director joined WPI

The Office of Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) provides a broad range of services for the protection and promotion of a safe learning, living, and working environment at WPI. This is accomplished through technical support, information and training programs, consulting services, and periodic auditing of health and safety practices and regulatory compliance. WPI has established a Campus Safety Committee that meets quarterly. EHS staff conduct regular safety inspections and training on topics including, but not limited to; Machine Safety, Laboratory Safety, Biological Safety & Bloodborne Pathogens (BBP), Fire Safety, Lock-Out-Tag-Out (LOTO) Procedures, Laser Safety, Accident Reporting and Emergency Action Planning, etc.
